Earlier this year, I enjoyed the thrill of tilling up the first bed of what will hopefully become a new, thriving micro-farm in the heart of Berlin. Located on an old cemetery in the Neukölln neighborhood, this project is run by the Prinzessinnengarten Kollektiv Berlin. A few days earlier, I spent time measuring the plot and staking the beds. As was the case in past farm start-ups, I felt very moved by the occasion — the idea of a farm taking shape, becoming real and taking a hold of our hearts and souls. As farmers we humbly propose this idea to Mother Earth and ask for her support and blessings.
